Meet the person behind Sloth Massage
My background story
Before becoming a certified massage therapist, my path looked very different. I studied IT, worked with electronics, in sales and customer service, always following what I thought was the "right" career path - one that seemed practical and expected. But deep down, I always felt drawn to the idea of being able to help people and improve their lives. Despite being quite introverted, I have always loved working with people, and the idea of helping others relax and feel better had been on my mind for years. Massaging is something that felt quite natural to me, yet I kept putting it off, convincing myself that another job was the way to go.
That all changed during a vacation in Türkiye. I booked a massage, hoping for a deeply relaxing experience, but instead, it felt rushed, impersonal, and lacked the care I was looking for. In that moment, I thought:
"I want do this and I want do it better."
That was the turning point. As soon as I returned home, I stopped making excuses and finally took action towards what felt like my calling. I enrolled at Massørskole Fyn in Odense, quit my job, and dedicated myself fully to learning the art of massage therapy. Every free moment became an opportunity to practice, refine my skills, and ensure that my clients would never feel rushed or unheard.
Why I love what I do
Massage therapy isn’t just about relaxation. It’s about helping people feel better in their own bodies.
There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone walk in feeling stiff, stressed, or in pain and leave feeling lighter, more at ease, and truly refreshed.
I love:
✔️ Finding solutions for pain and tension that improve daily life.
✔️ Helping people take a much-needed break from stress.
✔️ Creating an unrushed, calming space where clients feel safe, heard, and cared for.
For the first time in my life, it is not just a job for me, it’s a passion. I want every client to leave feeling better, happier, and more connected to themselves than when they arrived.
A bit about me outside of massage
When I’m not helping clients relax, you’ll probably find me bouldering. I love the challenge of problem-solving while climbing. For me, it’s both a workout and a mental escape. Other than that I have been a lifelong gamer, so if this is also one of your passions I am sure we will have something to discuss.
I’m also a naturally calm, empathetic, and caring person, and I love creating an environment where people feel safe and comfortable.
My favorite animal? I know you would never guess, but I love sloths. They always exude an aura of calmness, almost as if time is moving much slower for them. And despite them looking as if they are moving in slow-motion, we can take a lesson from them and apply it to our daily lives where we often might feel like there is simply not enough time in the day to even put your feet up.
The way I try to approach life is the same way that I approach massage therapy: with care, patience, and a deep focus on what’s best for you.
Why Sloth Massage?
Sloths are the ultimate symbol of taking life slow, and that’s exactly what I want for you. In a world that constantly demands speed, this is your space to pause, breathe, and recharge, without feeling rushed or pressured.
Just like a sloth takes its time, I encourage you to do the same.
